Kenneth Widra, M.D.
Widra served for nearly eleven years as outpatient psychiatrist and medical director for the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Service Board in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. In his capacity as an outpatient psychiatrist in public and private practice, Widra treated a broad range of disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders, thought and personality disorders, alcohol and substance abuse, child and adolescent issues including ADHD, and complications of medical illnesses. Widra originally hails from Chicago and received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in experimental psychology from University of South Florida-Tampa, before obtaining his medical degree from University of Illinois-Chicago. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Medical College of Virginia and his M.B.A. from James Madison University-Virginia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. |

Paul Ganster, LCSW-C
Paul Ganster, LCSW-C, joined Atlantic Health Center’s Behavioral Health Program in July 2012. He brings 30 years of experience as a social worker, individual and family therapist and EAP Counselor to our patients. Most recently, he was a bereavement counselor for Hospice and a mental health therapist on the Shore. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University and master’s degree from West Virginia University, Paul became an accredited and licensed social worker. He provided inpatient and outpatient mental health counseling as well as individual, family and group work in the Pittsburgh area for 25 years. EAP counseling for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center honed his skills in assessment, treatment of substance abuse and liaising between patient needs and their employers. |
The Atlantic Health Center provides outpatient behavior health and substance abuse services to the public in conjunction with the Worcester County Health Department. Services include:
- Psychiatric Evaluation
- Medication Evaluation and Monitoring
- Individual, Family and Group Counseling/Therapy

Psychiatrist
Our psychiatrist is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology providing medication management and therapy to our patient population.
Behavioral therapist
Our behavior therapist is a licensed clinical social worker, A LCSW-C, who provides therapies to help patients establish and meet their goals. Sessions last one hour.
Case managers
They assist patients in obtaining medication assistance, community program involvement and other resources.
Financial Counselor
The financial counselor provides assistance with identifying and applying for financial aid for medical bills.
Tele-Psychiatry Providers
Shepphard Pratt Health System provides tele-psychiatry services to behavioral health patients delivered using live interactive videoconferencing equipment.
Initial Appointment
At your first visit to AHC Behavioral Health Services you will meet with our behavioral specialist, who will conduct an intake interview and discuss treatment planning. After your appointment depending on your needs, you may be scheduled for an appointment with one of our psychiatrists. Initial appointment last approximately 1- 1 ½ hours.
