Jonathan Bell, MD Dr. Bell, a board certified gastroenterologist, has been in practice on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for more than 13 years. He is a member of the American Gastrointestinal Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. He earned his medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed fellowship training at the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Bell is a past chief of medicine at Atlantic General Hospital and is currently on the active staff. His office, Atlantic Gastroenterology, is located in Berlin, MD. Jerrold Canakis, MD Dr. Canakis, a board-certified gastroenterologist on active staff at AGH, previously served on the faculty at the University of Alabama Department of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the MD-DE Chapter Medical Advisory Committee for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Dr. Canakis graduated from Temple University and completed fellowship training at Lankenau Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania. He is involved in a study at Johns Hopkins to identify genes that cause Crohn’s Disease and has published articles in peer review journals. Lee Klepper, MD Dr. Klepper is a board certified gastroenterologist. Following graduation from Sackler School of Medicine, Dr. Klepper did a residency at the University of Buffalo and then completed a fellowship training program in gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital. He is on active staff at Atlantic General Hospital. Dr. Klepper is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Medical Association. He has been a guest speaker for the American Cancer Society and frequently lectures on colon cancer screening. His office, Atlantic Gastroenterology, is located in Berlin, MD.
