Service Overview
Our Imaging Department provides vast array of diagnostic X-ray services including:
• Gastrointestinal Imaging
• Fluoroscopic Guidance for Joint Injections (diagnostic and therapeutic)
• PICC Line Insertions
• Lumbar Punctures
• Myelograms
• Genito-Urinary Imaging
• Bariatric Imaging
• Musculoskeletal Imaging (General X-Ray)
General x-rays do not require an appointment. All other x-ray services must be scheduled by calling 410-641-9714.
Preparing for your Imaging Examination
General X-Ray
Remember to bring your doctor's order. You may be asked to remove clothing or jewelry that would obscure the images. We provide a gown for you to wear. Depending on the x-ray, you will either have to stand or lie still during the exposure. Because x-rays involve radiation exposure, it is important to tell your provider and the technologist if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
You do not have to make an appointment for a regular x-ray.
All other examinations
When you schedule your exam you will be told what you need to do to prepare for the exam. Remember to bring your doctor's order and a list of your allergies and medications.
