Inpatient and Outpatient Care

Improved technology, surgical techniques and advanced in pain management have enabled Atlantic General Hospital to perform many surgeries on an outpatient basis. All anesthesia care is provided by a physician, for improved safety and better outcomes for our patients.

Many general, gynecology and orthopedic surgeries can now be performed using laparoscopy, where a tubular endoscope is inserted through a much smaller incision than one in traditional surgical procedures. This requires less time in the hospital and a significantly shorter recovery time. Patients undergoing joint replacement can also choose Mako robotic arm-assisted surgery.
