Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
Atlantic General Hospital is proud to offer the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency program. This national program guides the on-boarding of new graduate nurses into the role of the practicing acute care hospital nurse to ensure a successful transition into clinical practice.
As a newly licensed nurse at Atlantic General Hospital, you will:
- Develop by growing critical thinking skills and make a smoother transition from student nurse to competent professional nurse
- Receive mentoring from an experienced nurse with the opportunity to ask questions, explore new ideas and discuss issues with others in a non-judgmental environment
- Make a difference! Residents will participate in a group evidence-based practice initiative to influence patient care
- Receive expanded learning through monthly four-hour small group seminars on topics pertaining to career development, stress management, end of life care, conflict resolution, managing the changing patient condition and more!
