Corporate Match Gifts

A corporate match gift, also known as a matching gift, is a donation made by an employer to a not-for-profit organization in response to an employee's donation. The employer's donation is usually equal to or greater than the employee's, and can sometimes double or triple the original donation.

Matching gifts are a type of corporate philanthropy that can benefit everyone involved:

• Not-for-profits: Can earn more donations at no extra cost to donors
• Companies: Can boost their reputation by participating in corporate philanthropy

Some companies also match donations made by spouses, retirees, and board members.
