Because grief can be so painful, people often wonder if what they are feeling and thinking is normal. This process can feel overwhelming and can create fear unless we know what to expect.
Anyone is welcome to attend the bereavement support sessions that are offered
through Pastoral Care Services at Atlantic General Hospital. These sessions
are intended to be supportive and educational for all who have lost a
loved one. They provide a supportive atmosphere where individuals can
meet others who share in a loss as well as find ways to cope.
Support sessions schedule for 2008:
January through May/September through December
Second Wednesday of every month; 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Fourth Wednesday of every month; 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The sessions are held in Conference Room 1, on the first floor of Atlantic
General Hospital. Please bring your lunch for the mid-day sessions or
visit the cafeteria that adjoins the conference room. Refreshments will
be provided.
Additional support sessions will be offered throughout the year for children
and those grieving after the loss of a pet.
There is no need to register for these sessions. For additional information,
please contact Pastoral Care Services at 410-641-9725 or email gmansell@atlanticgeneral.org
