Atlantic General Hospital Hosts GAIT, a Geriatric Healthcare Education Program

Atlantic General Hospital recently hosted a two-day educational series
as part of the GAIT (Geriatric Assessment Interdisciplinary Team) Project,
an ongoing program to equip students and current healthcare professionals
with the necessary skills to provide quality geriatric assessment and care.
Twenty-three students attended from various college campuses within the University of Maryland system from a variety of programs including pharmacy, dietetics, registered nursing programs, and physical therapy as well medical, nurse practitioners and physician assistant students.
Participants attended seminars the first day and grand rounds with Atlantic General Hospital clinical staff the second day.
