Atlantic General Hospital Updates Wait Time App

Smart phone users who have downloaded Atlantic General Hospital’s
wait time app now have access to three more wait times – for Atlantic
ImmediCare, the hospital’s walk-in health clinics located at the
Rite Aids in Pocomoke, Ocean Pines and Millsboro, Del.
Atlantic General launched the original app to improve the patient experience for individuals seeking walk-in treatment. With a few taps of their thumbs, smart phone users were able to pull up the wait times for the ER as well as x-ray and laboratory services – which update every five minutes – so they could plan their visit around peak volumes.
Updating the app to include wait times for Atlantic ImmediCare was the next logical step. These times have been available on AGH’s web site since January of this year. The actual development time for the app update was minimal because the hospital wanted to preserve the original look and feel of the app so it would continue to be easy to use.
“We want our community members and visitors to have the very best patient experience possible. If we can improve that experience by eliminating frustration over long waits, we will do so. Tracking these wait times and making them available to community members wherever they might be is just one more way to accomplish this,” said Toni Keiser, vice president of public relations for Atlantic General Hospital.
Blackberry, iPhone and Android users who previously downloaded the app have already received their notification that the app update is available. Individuals who have not yet downloaded the AGH wait time app can search for “AGH” in their store or market or visit atlanticgeneral.org for additional download instructions.
