The focus of this year’s fair is Harvest to Home, incorporating fresh foods, fun activities and healthy living opportunities for the whole family.
“This, our sixteenth year holding the Healthy Happenings Fair, is our most exciting. For the first time we are offering activities for children and many new screenings for adults. We’re excited to bring the Healthy Happenings Community Health Fair to Selbyville this year, and have received such wonderful support from our partners in Delaware,” shared AGH Community Education Manager, Dawn Denton.
Demonstrations will take place as follows - cooking at 9 a.m., gardening at 10 a.m. and dance at 11 a.m. All free screenings and other learning opportunities will take place between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The schedule:
8 – 12 p.m. Kids Korner activities
Free Screenings: cholesterol (12 hour fast required), carotid artery,
respiratory, hearing, diabetes, vision and more
9 a.m. "Spending Less Eating Better" Cooking demonstration
10 a.m. Container Gardening
11 a.m. Dance/Yoga
12 p.m. Health Fair concludes
