Estimates for Elective Surgery: If you would like an estimate for your surgeon and anesthesiologist bills, which are separate from the facility fee, please call (410) 629-6001.
A couple of notes:
- Hospital rates in the state of Maryland are regulated by an independent state agency called the Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC). The HSCRC sets rates for all payers including Medicare and Medicaid.
-
We cannot guarantee that the estimate you receive will be your final charge.
The actual charge for your test or surgery may be higher or lower depending
upon the care you actually receive. Your final bill will be based on various
factors that include:
- the length of time you spend in surgery or recovery,
- more testing that may be ordered by your physician, and/or
- care you receive for unexpected conditions, new diagnoses, or complications.
Tips:
- It is helpful to know the CPT code of your test or surgery. Your provider can give this to you. If you have an order from your physician, it will be included on this document as well. If you have already scheduled your care with us, our staff can locate this code.
- Please allow up to two business days for your estimate. It can take extra time to obtain all the information we need to provide the most accurate estimate possible.
Do You Have Insurance?
Your insurance company can also help you obtain an estimate of what you would pay for a certain type of care. You will need your insurance card and information about the surgery, test or care you have discussed with your doctor. Your insurance provider can determine out-of-pocket costs since it knows the details of your plan, deductibles and co-pays.
