Scholarship Programs
Atlantic General Hospital offers several scholarship opportunities in various areas of the hospital.
The James G. and Nancy W. Barrett Scholarship Program, named to recognize the extraordinary efforts put forth by the late Jim Barrett and his wife Nancy, offers two separate scholarships to support nursing services at Atlantic General Hospital. These include one, open to the public for nursing students in process of becoming an RN, and a separate opportunity for current AGH RNs to advance their education to a BS or other advanced degree.
The AGH Junior Auxiliary Group (JAG) is a sub group of the AGH Auxiliary. Their mission is to increase community awareness of Atlantic General Hospital and its associates through fun, fellowship, and family-oriented activities and fundraising. Due to their efforts, they are able to offer scholarship programs for those seeking opportunities in Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography (Ultrasound). These opportunities are available to qualified candidates in the community. You do not have to be a current AGH associate to apply.
In the near future, the AGH Auxiliary plans to offer scholarships for those seeking a career in Laboratory Services. This scholarship will be open to the public, as well as current AGH associates. Keep checking back!
